Position: Retail Sales Associate
Location: Rochelle Park/Paramus, NJ
Job Type: Full-time (preferred) or part-time

Overview:

We're looking for a reliable, motivated and friendly Retail Sales Associate to join our Tackle World family! This role mainly involves operating the cash register, helping customers, restocking shelves, and assisting with day-to-day store sales. You’ll be part of a small team that works together to keep the store running smoothly and provide great service to our customers. We're looking for someone who wants to grow with Tackle World in long term.

Duties

• Greet customers, answer questions, and assist with product selection
• Provide excellent customer service via phone
• Restock shelves and ensure products are organized and properly displayed
• Keep the store clean, tidy, and presentable
• Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately
• Help track inventory and report low-stock or missing items
• Support promotional sales efforts and upsell when appropriate
• Follow store policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security
• Work as part of a team to meet daily operational goals
  
• Pick online orders for shipping department when needed

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally over phone, e-mail and messaging
  
• Experience in Shopify, Amazon and/or Ebay preferred.
• Highly detail-oriented and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• A team player with a willingness to learn and take initiative in solving problems.
• Strong organizational skills and a self-motivated, responsible approach to daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic math and communication skills
• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
• Friendly, positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate items up to 35lbs
