1. Tournament Overview

The Tackle World Virtual Fluke Tournament will run from June 15th through September 15th. This is a remote, catch-photo-release style tournament designed to promote fair competition and conservation.
2. Divisions
Participants may compete in one (1) division only:

Boat Fishing Division or Surf Fishing Division

Each division will award:

1st Place
-
2nd Place
-
3rd Place
3. Entry & Eligibility
-
All participants must be officially registered prior to fishing.

Enter your email address online when purchasing your ruler. The deadline to purchase a ruler is June 14th at 4pm.

Each participant will receive a unique tournament angler number via email the evening before the tournament begins.
- One ruler purchase per angler ONLY!

By entering, participants agree to all tournament rules and conditions.
4. Measurement & Equipment Requirements

All fish must be measured using the official Tackle World tournament ruler.
-
The fish must be measured nose to tail (total length) with the mouth closed and tail naturally extended.
-
The entire fish must be clearly visible on the ruler in the photo.

5. Photo Submission Requirements

To qualify, each submission must include:
-
The fish laid flat on the official Tackle World ruler
-
The unique angler number clearly written on the ruler and visible in the photo
-
The entire fish (nose and tail) clearly visible
-
A clear, readable measurement
-
Photos that are blurry, altered, or do not meet these criteria may be disqualified at the discretion of the tournament director.
6. Catch Rules

Only fluke (summer flounder) are eligible.

Fish must be legally caught in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

Participants are encouraged to practice catch and release whenever possible.

Any evidence of tampering, cheating, or falsifying entries will result in immediate disqualification.
7. Scoring

Winners will be determined by longest single fluke (total length) submitted during the tournament period.

In the event of a tie, the earliest submitted qualifying entry will take the lead.
8. Submission Process

All entries must be submitted to the designated tournament contact on our website.

9. Leaderboard Updates
-
Located on our website, the leaderboard will be updated Leaderboard updated daily - disclaimer only updated Monday-Friday until the last week of the tournament before the final leaderboard will be posted. Leaderboard can be found on our website and updates will be posted to our social media throughout the tournament.
10. Code of Conduct

Participants must act in a sportsmanlike manner at all times.

Respect for fellow anglers, the environment, and applicable laws is required.
11. Liability Waiver

By participating in this tournament, all entrants agree to:

Assume all risks associated with fishing activities

Hold Tackle World, its affiliates, and tournament organizers harmless from any liability, injury, or damages incurred during participation
12. Tournament Director Authority

The tournament director reserves the right to:

Disqualify any entry that does not meet the rules

Interpret rules and resolve disputes at their sole discretion

Modify rules if necessary to ensure fair competition

Participation in the tournament constitutes full acceptance of all rules and conditions outlined above.
